Moonshiner Ned is a raider Mister Handy at the Sunday Brothers' Cabin in Fallout 76, introduced in the Test Your Metal update. Ned only appears behind the bar inside the cabin during Event: Moonshine Jamboree.
Background
Found as an unnamed Mr. Handy in a bunker by Asher, a member of a raider group,[1] Ned was booted up by Slayer on June 7 of an undisclosed year.[2] After it continued to talk about making moonshine for three straight days, the group decided to name it Moonshiner Ned, after a "drunk blabbermouth" they had encountered in the past.[3] While many of the other raiders left, scared by the nearby creatures and weakened from the moonshine,[4] Slayer remained with Ned and continued to drink moonshine until he died.[5]
Ned's focus lies on distilling moonshine,[3] and on holding a jamboree in order to obtain more of the secret ingredient, acidic gulper venom.[6][7] Ned is also fond of the three stills outside the cabin, and has named them Madam Elsie, Ethel, and Madeline.[8][9][10]
