Abominations are creatures found in the Mothership alongside aliens. They are described as "half-human, half-alien hybrids" that have semi-transparent skin and are hostile, attacking without ranged weapons.[Pub 1][Pub 2][Pub 3]Recorded logs mention that aliens turn humans into the creatures and that not all humans survive.[1]
When encountered by the player, the Abominations are either kept in cells or patrol the hallways looking for intruders. After spotting a target, an Abomination will point at it and wail loudly, before running at their target and swiping at them with their long arms. When killed, their bodies contain various random items, such as Alien Power Modules, Alien Epoxy, Packs of Cigarettes, pre-War money, harmonicas or Pre-War Books.

“Large and horrific, Abominations are half-human, half-alien hybrids with semi-transparent skin and a single-minded purpose: killing everything. They have no ranged weapons, so attack them from a distance. Otherwise, treat them as a very powerful Ghoul.”— Fallout 3 Official Game Guide/Faction profiles

This series of chambers is dotted with the corpses of those of particular interest to these fiends, along with the Aliens’ greatest triumph: half-human, half-Alien hybrids known only (and suitably) as Abominations."
