The Pittsburgh Heritage Society was a organization advocating for issues effecting Pittsburgh before the Great War.
Background
Speaking on behalf of the society, a member named Emily Weise sent several letters to the Pittsburgh Department of Public Works director, Hadley James, calling for his resignation following the disastrous reconstruction of the historical Wabash Bridge.[1] Emily expressed the group's dissatisfaction with the project's result, stating that replacing the bridge with a copy of a structure of 10th Street was "laziness bordering on criminal negligence."[1] She informs the director that the society holds them responsible and that the matter would be addressed at the next county administrator meeting.[1]
Appearances
The Pittsburgh Heritage Society is mentioned in The Pitt.
