Revere Satellite Array

(Redirected from Revere satellite array)

The Revere Satellite Array is a location in the Commonwealth in Fallout 4.

Background

This array is a set of four large dish receivers operated by the U.S. Armed Forces near the township of Revere, Massachusetts, before the Great War. It is currently inhabited by Super Mutants.[Pub 1]

Three years ago,[1] after being ambushed by unknown assailants in a ruined clinic and losing the rest of their squad, the three survivors of Recon Squad Artemis took refuge in the National Guard Training Yard.[2] Two of the survivors, Paladin Brandis and Scribe Faris, left to go to the Revere satellite array, likely in an attempt to use the satellite array's communication systems to contact the Prydwen.[3] They left Knight Tara Astlin alone to defend the training yard. She was attacked and managed to send out a distress signal before being overrun.[4] In the meantime, Brandis and Faris were ambushed at the satellite array, with Faris being shot in the leg, leaving him unable to walk. They then received Astlin's distress beacon and Brandis decided to leave Faris behind.[3] However, the bullet had hit an artery, causing Faris to bleed out around two hours after Brandis left.[5]

Layout

The array is similar to those found in the Capital Wasteland, but less tall and without any internal rooms. Various makeshift scrap and wooden structures have been built onto the receiver walkways by the super mutant inhabitants. The southwestern dish cannot be accessed, as the walkway has crumbled.

Loot

  • Scribe Faris' Holotape, found during the quest The Lost Patrol.
  • U.S. Covert Operations Manual #9: In the shanty hut atop the central satellite support (without the dish). It's on a table with a lamp next to it.
  • A Fat Man, super mutant leg armor, a steamer trunk, and an empty power armor frame can be found at the highest point of the northeast dish.
    • The power armor frame will not spawn with any armor pieces or a Fusion Core, and as such is immune to the "Cell Reset" bug which can cause the permanent loss of mounted armor pieces on unattended power armor.
    • This is the only empty power armor frame that does not have to be purchased or stolen.
  • Super mutant chains are found in the shack atop the southwestern dish.
  • A Mini Nuke can be found in the heavily irradiated water of the fallen dish.
