The Fallout 76 5th Anniversary was a month-long series of events and publications to celebrate the fifth birthday of Fallout 76. It started on October 23, 2023, and ended on November 21, 2023.

Background

Celebrations started with Fallout Day on October 23.[1] On October 25, a "Wasteland Classroom Stream" took place on Bethesda's Twitch account, hosted by Devann McCarthy and featuring community content creators King Gothalion and Kenneth Vigue.[Dev 1] A second stream, also hosted by McCarthy, took place on November 1 and featured content creators Tooniversal and NerdyNetty.[Dev 2] Following on November 2, a developer Q&A took place on the Bethesda Game Studios' Discord.[1][Dev 3]

Festivities in the game included a Spooky Scorched event from October 24 to November 7, as well as a Birthday Challenge Event that ran from November 7 through 21.[1]

Birthday Parade Stream

On November 14, the day of the game's release in 2018, the anniversary was celebrated with a "Birthday Parade Stream with Fallout For Hope and CHAD Podcast" on Bethesda's official Twitch account.[Dev 4] It was hosted by McCarthy and co-hosted by Kenneth Vigue, with voice actor Wes Johnson serving as announcer, and featured a speech of special guest Adrienne Barbeau, the voice of the Overseer.

Other guests were streamers Jessica Star, Shredz from El Gato Pub, WreckItRenee and Tooniversal, all of which presented some of the 40 parade floats that were created in the game by members of the Fallout 76 community. Anniversary congratulators included voice actors Stephen Russell, Keith Szarabajka, Todd Haberkorn, Paula Tiso, Chip Joslin, Aeric Azana, Linsay Rousseau, Keythe Farley, Dave Fennoy, Peter Jessop, Mara Junot and Jordan Reynolds, in addition to many content creators from around the world.

The stream also featured the following musical acts:

  • The Stupendium with VAULT NUMBER 76
  • Fenwa Teryen with Mothman, Take my Hand
  • Vio Dance with Fallout 76 Main Theme
  • David Piché with Take me home, Country Roads
