About
A part of the clean-up from the fork is getting rid of huge, outdated, poor quality images. In doing so, we make the wiki higher quality and load much faster for our readers. The spreadsheet below includes the images that are above 1 MB which can be converted to webp or deleted (if low quality, duplicate, unnecessary).
Things to keep in mind when re-uploading images:
- .webp is always preferable to .jpg
- Generally don't save the image as lossless (100% image quality,) it can be instead saved with 85%, in some cases even lower.
- Images with high resolutions (particularly screenshots of newer games that are larger than 1080) can be scaled down to 1920x1080 pixels.
- Big map images for FO1/FO2/FOT can be adjusted to 4k (3840x 2160 pixels) if the base resolution is high enough.
