Escape Artist is an Agility-based perk in Fallout 76.
Effects
Running will no longer produce movement sounds, improving the ability to sneak. Entering sneak mode will temporarily cloak the player, and break detection. This ability may be used once every 5 seconds.

Interactions
- Escape Artist does not work while the player is in power armor.
- Escape Artist renders the muffled armor modification obselete, as it completely eliminates all sound produced when moving.
Notes
- "Running" is the fast movement when pushing a joystick to the outer radius. "Walking", the slow movement, is always silent.
- The movement sound elimination is applied regardless of sneaking or standing.
- Sound generated by sprinting is not affected by Escape Artist.
Bugs
Prior to patch 1.1.2.9, gaining invisibility via the Chameleon mutation while already invisible due to the Escape Artist perk or vice versa would result in the player character gaining permanent invisibility. [Patched]
