Black Ghost

Black Ghost or Hei Gui units were a pre-War contingent of the People's Liberation Army.^[1]^[2]

Background

Counterinsurgency squads used by the Chinese military during the Great War, Black Ghost units were equipped with Chinese Stealth Armor. Suits captured from these units were reversed engineered and used as the basis for the U.S. military's portable "Stealth Boy" units.^[2]

Black Ghost units are mentioned in Fallout 4.

Notes

A weapon, Mercy, in Fallout: New Vegas has "Hei Gui Bye Bye" written on the side.

Behind the scenes

In Mandarin Chinese, Hēi (黑) means "black" and Guǐ (鬼) means "ghost."
