The Independent Fallout Wiki is an online encyclopedia dedicated to the Fallout video game series. The wiki is open to editing by anyone and provides a comprehensive source of information about the Fallout universe, including game mechanics, characters, locations, and more.

About

The Independent Fallout Wiki includes several individual spaces including the Mainspace (main Fallout Wiki) and Modspace (covering Fallout mods), Resources (for tools and datamining), Community (fan projects and fun), and official Discord server and social media accounts. The wiki also contains detailed walkthroughs, and is constantly updated with new content. Everyone is welcome!

Alongside our dedication to documenting the Fallout franchise, we support a positive, productive community environment that brings fan projects, content creators, and mod authors together in collaborative spaces including Fallout Mods and Community. Fallout-related project wikis are welcome, too! Version information can be found here and statistics are available here. The site map is here.

Current Overseers of the Independent Fallout Wiki are Black Devil, Findabair, Kate Aces, Rubbinmahbelly, RurinGas, and XV-Versus. All staff members are listed here.

We Want You!

Every member of this site is important to the success of the Independent Fallout Wiki, regardless of their edit count, user rights, or time spent here. Each editor has the same right to give advice, ask questions, and edit pages as anyone else. Do not put yourself down by commenting, or believing, that you are "just a newbie" or that you "haven't made very many edits."

Everyone is new at some point, and we are all here to help each other learn. The perspective and knowledge of everyone are what make our work effective and comprehensive, and each contributor is equally valuable.

Need a hand? Check out the Vault Dweller's Survival Guide, a set of guides that cover various aspects of the wiki and its community in a stress-free learning environment. Graduates receive diplomas and Vault-Tec Corporation "Your Knowledge Suffices!"(TM) badges will be semi-ceremoniously branded on your permanent record.

Contact and Help

The Independent Fallout Wiki community is a welcoming place to talk about all things Fallout, join events, make friends, hear updates about the franchise, and have fun. The community encompasses several platforms and is always happy to welcome any and all Vault Dwellers. For the full list of our chat and social media platforms, click here.

Account Migration

Already have a wiki account on Fandom? Check out the guide to help migrate your account to the Independent Fallout Wiki. Migrating your account from Fandom to the Independent Fallout Wiki will not delete your Fandom account, it will only copy over your edit history, watchlist, and other profile information. For help, please contact any member of staff via talk page or Discord.

History

A group of Fallout fans from several corners of the community established the Independent Fallout Wiki, founded on April 8, 2022. The site entered early access on Great War Day, October 23, 2022, and launched to the public on December 31, 2022.[1][2] The community joins several networks of independent wikis, websites, and Fallout groups as affiliates, proud to be a fan-run, owned, and operated wiki and website.

The world of Fallout expands past what is found in games and mods, and this wider community is something we are proud to feature and support here. Check out the Fallout Community hub! Content includes but is not limited to cosplay, content creators, authors, fanfiction, fan art, creations, archived documents, tabletop games, and roleplaying. Bringing together all project teams, authors, and artists in one place helps support those creating content and helps readers find and learn more about these endeavors.
