The utility tunnel is an area in Washington, D.C. that connects a manhole in Pennsylvania Avenue with the remains of the White House. In the add-on Broken Steel, it also contains an access to the Presidential Sub Level which leads to the Presidential Metro with exits to The Capitol Building's east wing and Adams Air Force Base.

Layout

Straight ahead from the utility tunnel entrance, the tunnel leads down and branches off into a four-way intersection with three of the branches caved in after a short distance. There is nothing of use in this area except one Abraxo Cleaner, a couple of Tin Cans and a cash register that may or may not contain very minor loot.

Back at the utility tunnel entrance, there is a side room to the right containing a Workbench. To the left is a corridor that leads to the White House. Following the corridor, the White House exit will be up a couple of flights of stairs on the left and the Presidential sub level can be accessed through a door on the right, at the end of the corridor.

Notes

There are two ramps set up on either side of a car and the remains of a daredevil. The Lone Wanderer can see on one side the crashed motorcycle and the top half of the daredevil hanging from the light fixture above the car. However, it is possible for the skeleton to have fallen down and will be lying on the car instead.

Appearances

The utility appears only in Fallout 3.
