(Redirected from Sarah Lyons)

We've still got the damn Frankensteins crawling all over D.C. and Rothchild's got us picking up every blinking gizmo from here to Virginia.

Sarah Lyons is a Brotherhood of Steel former Sentinel, Elder, and the commander of the Lyons' Pride squad in Fallout 3.[1]

Background

Sarah Lyons was born in the West Coast Brotherhood of Steel headquarters.[Pub 1] Her mother died several years before she accompanied her father, Elder Owyn Lyons, on his journey east to the Capital Wasteland.[Pub 1]

In the ruins of Washington, D.C., she commands the Lyons' Pride, which she describes as "the best of the Brotherhood, bar none."[2] Lyons decides who is allowed to be a part of the squad.[2] Lyons is a role model for Arthur Maxson, a child living at the Citadel.[3] He mentions that the sentinel is kind and has taught him a great deal, including taking him out once to kill super mutants.[3][4] He admits that he accidentally shot her, but that her injuries were not serious.[5] In a terminal entry, Maxson wrote that Sarah taught him how to kill a man by stabbing him in the kidneys, and that he thinks he is in love.[6]

She became elder upon the death of her father but subsequently died in action.[7] The Brotherhood of Steel struggled to find an effective leader for several years until Arthur Maxson became elder.[7]

  • Her appearance in Broken Steel depends on whether the Lone Wanderer sacrificed her or someone else during "Take It Back!," resulting in her either being in a coma or dead.[8][9]
  • When she picks the Lone Wanderer up in the vertibird during "Who Dares Wins," she will speak her line about meeting them "in an alley in Chevy Chase," even if they never completed the Galaxy News Radio quest.[10]

  9. Paladin Tristan: "Well, well. Look who's back amongst the living. Didn't expect to see you. After dragging your ass back to the Citadel, I thought you might be comatose forever. Kind of surprising that you managed to survive, but with all her training, Sarah didn't."

  10. Sentinel Lyons: "When I first saw you long ago in that alley in Chevy Chase, I thought you were just some trashy Wastelander. I'm glad I was wrong. My father thinks the world of you... and so do I. If things were different, maybe we could have had time to become friends... Anyway... I wish you the best of luck and I hope you stick around for a while. We need people like you to help us finish what we've started here!"
