Make it quick will ya, I'm coming down and I gotta get my fix.

Paulie Cantelli owns the chem shop A Quick Fix with his wife, Cindy in Rivet City.[1]

Paulie and Cindy's relationship is strained due to his addiction to chems, as Cindy has to keep him away from the inventory "or he'll rob us blind."[2] Paulie states that Cindy will lock him out if he takes the inventory from the shop, and instead steals from Doctor Preston and hides his stash in an empty room across from Gary Staley's apartment.[3][4] Cindy tells the Lone Wanderer that one of these days, Paulie is going to end up dead due to this addiction.[5] Doc Preston noted in Paulie's medical record that treating his addiction provides a steady income, but that if Paulie is going to begin using chems again, he can't waste the resources on the effort.[6]

Paulie makes comments about his dislike of those living in the Upper Decks of Rivet City, stating that these "Upper Deckers think they're better than us. Well, screw them."[7] He describes Rivet City as a safe place to live, away from raiders and super mutants, and that with Doctor Li on their side, "maybe we can even begin to rebuild the world."[8]

Paulie is your classic addict. His wife, Cindy, runs A Quick Fix, which sells Chems. The shop would actually make money if he would stop using up all the inventory himself. Most of his waking thoughts are about when he can get his next fix. He is frequently distracted and has trouble focusing. Paulie and Cindy are married in name only. They barely talk and share little in common. He isn’t even aware of how much he neglects his wife.Fallout 3 Official Game Guide/Wasteland Census
