Overseer Rank was a leveling system in Fallout 76, introduced in the Nuclear Winter update. It was exclusive to the Nuclear Winter game mode.
Discontinued
Nuclear Winter was discontinued on September 8, 2021. Players were reimbursed via Perk Coins relative to their overseer rank and overseer tickets, while many of the Nuclear Winter-exclusive rewards were implemented into Adventure mode in form of plans, which can be earned by completing events.[1]
Gameplay
Instead of using the levels achieved in Adventure mode, Nuclear Winter used a separate but similar system, with each advancement being the next Overseer rank. XP were gained by competing in battle royale matches, and, as the player progressed, they were able to access more areas of Vault 51, revealing the Vault's story in the process. In addition, they also received various cosmetic rewards with each new overseer rank, including player icons and armor skins. XP and caps were also given to the player character in Adventure mode after the completion of a match.

Bugs
After patch 20, a bug occurred in Nuclear Winter wherein the Halloween, Christmas, and Survivors limited-time event rewards could be re-obtained. This bug was active until patch 21. [Patched]
