I'm not one to gossip, but I do know a few things. For instance, did you hear that Lucas wants someone to disarm our bomb? Imagine the blasphemy! I can't believe it! I mean, I don't believe it. He would never do that to us.

Mother Maya is an inhabitant of Megaton in Fallout 3.

Background

Mother Maya is the spouse of Confessor Cromwell, and serves alongside him in leading the Children of Atom.[1] Due to their religious beliefs, Maya and her husband treat Gob with respect.[Pub 2]

Publications

Mother Maya is 41 and Confessor Cromwell’s female counterpart. She and Cromwell are actually husband and wife, but they don’t go out of their way to advertise the fact, because they’re both so busy promoting the ideals of the church.Fallout 3 Official Game Guide/Wasteland Census

"Treated as a freakish, second-class citizen by many people in Megaton (particularly Colin Moriarty), Gob is skittish and nervous, always looking over his shoulder. He does his best to maintain a sense of humor and to be friendly with customers, but this is mostly out of his desire not to be beaten. Confessor Cromwell and Mother Maya treat Gob with respect and an air of reverence because of their spiritual beliefs."
