Milepost Zero is the 20th major update for Fallout 76. It was released September 3, 2024, alongside Season 18: Milepost Zero - Country Road. It followed Skyline Valley.

Features include:

Caravans - Escort caravans along Skyline Drive for the Blue Ridge Caravan Company.
Caravan Outpost - Earn a personal Caravan Outpost by completing a new quest line. Upgrade the decor, place specialized vendors, name caravan brahmins and upgrade personal caravans with a new currency, Supply.
Best Builds - An expansion to the C.A.M.P. mechanic, Best Builds allow players to submit their camps, which can then be upvoted by other players. Upvoted camps become featured camps across several servers.
Legendary Crafting - Legendary armor, power armor and weapons can now be scrapped at workstations, with a chance to learn legendary mods. Learned mods can then be crafted with Legendary Modules and applied to corresponding items by using a small amount of Legendary Scrip. Legendary Cores are retired and converted to Legendary Scrip in a 1:1 ratio.
Vendor History Log - Basic information for any vendor at the player's camp. See who bought what and for how much!
Combat Rebalance - Improvements on Fire and Poison Damage and their functionally, including adjustments for player and NPC weapons and armor, creatures and perks.

In addition, this update's patch drastically reduces the overall size of the game's installation.
