Michael was an employee in the finance department of Atomic Mining Services before the Great War.
Background
Michael, an overweight accountant[1] with a hairpiece, was consistently getting trapped in the AMS Corporate Headquarters pneumatic tubes[2] to the point where the other employees thought he was doing so intentionally.
To avoid him becoming a liability, the receptionist at the headquarters requested that human resources draw up termination papers for him, to be better safe than sorry.[3] This was prescient, as Michael had been receiving suggestions from his wife Carmen that he should document these incidents with a view to eventually suing the company.[2][4]
