Mad Brahmins is a special encounter in Fallout 2.
A herd of mad brahmin will come running towards the Chosen One. These brahmin explode on contact, causing damage.
If one chooses, they can attempt to fight back by trying to attack the mad brahmin. While in combat, they will still target the Chosen One, but will not explode, attacking by biting (similar to a regular brahmin). However, when killed through combat, the brahmin will respawn at the center of the map (newly-spawned brahmin will not immediately join in the combat). Killing all of the mad brahmin once will get the player character 480 experience points, and can be repeated.
