(Redirected from Lopez)

Someday, maybe I'll get courage.

Mister Lopez is a resident of Rivet City in Fallout 3.

Background

Lopez suffers from depression after Raiders killed his family.[1] He claims to be not very memorable, and that he has nothing to live for, leaving him in a suicidal state of mind.[2][3]

Publications

Lopez is a quiet 65-year-old man who has lived in the common room for the past 10 years. His wife and child were killed by Raiders, and he came to Rivet City lonely and lost. He spends much of his time reading or praying in the church. He takes his meals in the common room and sleeps a lot out of sheer depression. Once a day he tries to climb to the observation deck and jump.Fallout 3 Official Game Guide/Wasteland Census

Notes

  • He is at the top of the bridge tower of the observation deck from eight in the morning until noon, during this time he just wants to be left alone.
  • From three to five in the afternoon, he can be found on the observation deck. During this time, one can:
    • Help him to commit suicide, either by pushing him off the deck, or by telling him that he is pathetic - both actions result in bad Karma.
    • Use Speech to convince him to guide Ted Strayer, resulting in good Karma. If Strayer is dead, it is impossible to save Mister Lopez.
  • If the Lone Wanderer stands before Lopez and then talks him into committing suicide, he will simply die on the floor without jumping.
  • He can be pushed off the observation deck with no loss of Karma by walking into him and forcing him off the deck.
  • The guard on the observation deck may turn hostile, if they witness the Lone Wanderer tampering with Lopez.
