Janet is a caravaneer working for the Crimson Caravan in Fallout: New Vegas.
Background
Janet is a redhead working at the Crimson Caravan Company in the brahmin pens. During the day, she can be found tending to the Brahmin herd and cleaning up their droppings, and at night sleeping in the barracks. During breaks, she stares at Nellis Air Force Base through binoculars and watches a young man who stares at her as well.

- Young Hearts: The Courier has to tell Janet that Jack is in love with her. After telling her, she says she has the same feelings for him, but cannot leave because she is under contract with the Crimson Caravan and cannot leave without forfeiting her pay.

Notes
After completing Cass' quest Heartache by the Number with the violent solution (unless the Courier stealthily kills Alice), the Crimson Caravaneers become hostile, including Janet. NCR affiliated armor can be worn to complete the quest.
