Fat Fahey is a fictional villain in the Silver Shroud radio series, serving as an underling to The Mechanist.
Background
In the Silver Shroud radio series, the mayor of Boston believed that humanity was weak and should be replaced by his own robot army, subsequently stylizing himself as the Mechanist.[1] Included in this army were the mobster Fat Fahey and a group of mob-bots.[2] Wishing to take down the crimefighter Silver Shroud, Mayor Murphy created a robot version of himself and set the robot to meet with Fat Fahey and die, in order to lure in Silver Shroud and the Mistress of Mystery.[1]
The two investigated the mayor's death, the Mistress posing as "Candy" to infiltrate Fat Fahey's lair.[3] Fahey mocked the two, sharing that leading them into the hideout served as a distraction.[3] In the meantime, the mayor had broken into the Mistress' parlor to steal back evidence previously collected.[3] The crime fighters moved to kill Fahey, learning at this point that Fahey and his accomplices were actually robots serving the Mechanist.[3] Before the duo destroyed Fat Fahey, he ordered his army of "mob-bots" to attack.[4]
