The Decompression Chamber is a location in the Fallout 3 add-on Mothership Zeta.
Background
The Decompression Chamber serves as an airlock between the ship and outer space.[Pub 1] It removes the air from the chamber to match the outside atmosphere.[Pub 1][Pub 2] A Spacesuit is required to survive the decompression sequence.[1]

Layout
The entrance is found in the northern section of the Engineering Core. Access to the area is unlocked after destroying the generators in the Cryo Lab, Robot Assembly and the Hangar. In the middle of the interior is a Alien Switch that activates the decompression sequence.
Alien corpses are found scattered around after leaving the first chamber. The Decompression Chamber acts as an airlock between the spaceship and the space environment.
Notes
- This is one of many areas of the ship that will not be accessible after the player has completed the quest, This Galaxy Ain't Big Enough....
- Failing to put on the Spacesuit or removing it during or after decompression will cause one's head to explode.

"When you're quite finished in the Engineering Core, open the Airlock Door and move inside the Decompression Chamber. You must don the Spacesuit to avoid a nasty demise, and flick the switch to suck the air out of the chamber."
