Lured them in with my stunning feminine wiles. A few choice curse words and some evil looks did the rest.— Daisy

Daisy is a merchant running Daisy's Discounts in Goodneighbor in Fallout 4.

Background

Daisy was born prior to the Great War and is around 270 years old.[1] As a child, Daisy spent much of her time at the Boston Public Library and has many fond memories of the place.[2] She grew up a shy child and states that books were her "best friends".[3] As an adult, she described herself as an "angry young woman", finding the world sick and that it wouldn't give her "[her] due."[4] She had a husband who was killed during the Resource Wars, though never learned of where he died due to it being "classified information".[5]

Daisy had no shelter when the Great War occurred and the resulting radiation turned her into a ghoul, which ended her old self "in a way".[1][4] She says it was an "ultimate makeover" and that the radiation did wonders to her skin.[1] According to Irma's terminal in the Memory Den, Daisy has a "hellion side" to her, being the reason for her longevity.[6] Daisy herself mentions that she has been "shilling deals for two centuries," including deals with Raiders.[7][8]

She sells everything from "can beans to chems", selling every weird bit of junk she can obtain from caravans.[9] Running her business in Goodneighbor has been challenging, but has been aided by MacCready, who assisted her in dealing with any unfriendly customers, as well as "saving [her] behind" on multiple occasions.[10][11] Hancock conducts monthly collections on the shops in Goodneighbor, which includes Daisy's Discounts.[12] She states that Goodneighbor has changed very little since the war, adding that "the dirt" is still there.[13]

Other interactions

  • If the Sole Survivor purchases the Charge Card from Parker Quinn, the player can attempt it to use it by bringing it to Daisy. She'll recount about how she hasn't seen one since before the war, but says it hasn't been good for " about 200 odd years", adding that it's "barely worth the plastic it's printed on."[14]

  • Irma mentions on her terminal at the Memory Den that Daisy is a "staunch opponent" of the place, though visited anyway to "sample the goods" by reliving memories.[6] In dialogue with Goodneighbor Drifters, she warns not to visit and that they would be "breaking [her] heart" if they were her kid.[19]

  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 Sole Survivor: "Ghoul? What's a Ghoul?"
Daisy: "You're looking at one, sweetheart. Didn't have any shelter to go to when the bombs fell. Radiation's kind of the ultimate makeover. Done wonders for my skin. I look pretty good for being 220 years old. Now, you buying anything?"
Sole Survivor: "Wait. You're 220 years old?"
Daisy: "Okay, okay, it's more like 270 years, but don't go blabbing that to everyone. Being a Ghoul means you live a long time. You stop counting birthdays. Do you know what it's like being that old?"
    (Daisy's dialogue)
  2. Sole Survivor: "Got any work?"
Daisy: "I do, actually. Super Mutants have taken over the old Boston Public Library. I got a lot of fond memories of that place from when I was a girl and... human... You get those lumbering brutes out of there, I'll pay you 200 caps."
    (Daisy's dialogue)
  3. Sole Survivor: "Anything more you can tell me about the library?"
Daisy: "A lot of those prewar buildings have automated security. Robots, turrets, that kind of thing. Lot of computers too. Hope you take the job. You might not believe this, but I was a shy child. Books were like my best friends growing up."
    (Daisy's dialogue)
  4. 4.0 4.1 Sole Survivor: "So what do you remember? About the past?"
Daisy: "Oh sweety, I was an angry young woman back then. Thought the world was sick and wouldn't give me my due. Then it all ended, and well, I ended in a way. Becoming a Ghoul... Maybe when you get to my age everything starts to look like fate... Anyway, I liked your story better, whether or not it's true."
    (Daisy's dialogue)
  5. Sole Survivor: "The world before was nothing but petty governments going to war, dragging us into it, and shooting whoever refused to clean up the mess."
Daisy: "You know I had a husband that was killed in the war with the Reds. They didn't even tell me where he died. Classified information and all that."
    (Daisy's dialogue)
  6. 6.0 6.1 "I love the irony of a staunch opponent of the Den coming in to sample the goods. Temptation. It gets us all in the end.
Reminder to myself: Daisy may not look it now, but there's a reason she's lived to be such a ripe, old age. Best that no one knows she ever came here. I don't need a reason for the hellion side of her coming out, looking for pay back."

(Memory Den terminal entries; Irma's Terminal; Client: Daisy)
  7. Sole Survivor: "[FAILED] I don't think that's enough money to cover clearing out a whole building."
Daisy: "Look, I've been shilling deals for two centuries, and you just overplayed your hand. The job's 200 caps. Take it or leave it."
    (Daisy's dialogue)
  8. Drifter: "You ever think about retiring, Daisy? Hey, if anyone's earned it, you have."
Daisy: "You saying I can't manage? I was shilling deals with Raiders when you were still an eager thought in your daddy's brain. I can take care of myself."
Drifter: "Nah, I wasn't saying that. Just maybe you should take a break, is all."
Daisy: "Old single women don't get breaks. You either make it on your own, or you end up in the gutter."
    (Drifter and Daisy's dialogue)
  9. Sole Survivor: "What kind of things do you sell?"
Daisy: "Oh, a bit of everything. Can beans to chems. I try to take every weird bit of junk that caravans are willing to trade. So chances are, you'll find something to your liking here. Ready to take a look?"
    (Daisy's dialogue)
  10. Sole Survivor: "What did MacCready do to help you out?"
Daisy: "Running a business in a town like Goodneighbor is a challenge. Let's just say I've had my share of unfriendly customers and MacCready's been there to help me handle the situation."
    (Daisy's dialogue)
  11. MacCready: "Now all I need to do is get the cure into Duncan's hands. Can you help me?"
Daisy: "Of course, MacCready. You've saved my behind more than once, it's the least I can do."
    (MacCready and Daisy's dialogue)
  12. 12.0 12.1 Old State House Terminal entries; Hancock's Terminal; Monthly Collections
  13. Daisy: "You'd be amazed how little this neighborhood has changed. The bombs may have dropped, but the dirt is still here."
    (Daisy's dialogue)
  14. Sole Survivor: "Do you accept this charge card?"
Daisy: "A charge card? Whoa. I haven't seen one of these since before the War... Uh... sorry, honey, but this thing hasn't been good for about 200 odd years. If you're trading, I might be able to give you a couple of caps for it, but it's barely worth the plastic it's printed on."
    (Daisy's dialogue)
  15. Kill or Be Killed Terminal entries; KL-E-0's Terminal; Contingency Plan: Daisy
  16. Vault-Tec Rep: "You mean crazy Kent and "nothing bothers me" Daisy? Yeah, there's a couple of us. But no one from the neighborhood. No one from Vault-Tec."
    (Vault-Tec Rep's dialogue)
  17. Neighborhood Watch: "You lookin' to stock up on general equipment, you can hit Daisy's Discounts."
Neighborhood Watch: "Need to sell some junk? Head to Daisy's Discounts."
    (Neighborhood Watch dialogue)
  18. Deacon: "Hell of a load you're carrying. Better sell some to Daisy before someone swipes it."
    (Deacon's dialogue)
  19. Drifter: "Hey, Daisy, what can I get for this?"
Daisy: "Not much, I'm afraid. Why are you selling it?"
Drifter: "I, uh, I just need some cash."
Daisy: "Cash, huh? Going to the Memory Den, is that it? You know I warned you about that place."
Drifter: "Just give me the cash, Daisy. You ain't my ma."
Daisy: "Good thing. If you were my kid, you'd be breaking my heart right now."
    (Drifter and Daisy's dialogue)
