“If you're wandering the Commonwealth with Dogmeat, these improvements in his training allow him to savage any foes you both come across. For the dog lover.”— Fallout 4 Vault Dweller's Survival Guide description
Attack Dog is a perk in Fallout 4.
Effects
If traveling with Dogmeat he will occasionally bite and hold onto an enemy, allowing the Sole Survivor to shoot the debilitated enemy, with a greater accuracy if using V.A.T.S. to target them.

Notes
- This is the only companion perk which can be unlocked via leveling up, the rest must be gained by earning the companion's respect.
- Dogmeat already automatically tries to hold enemies without the need for rank 1 of this perk. However, the player character does not get bonus V.A.T.S. accuracy, which is the true benefit for the first rank of this perk.
- This perk and Lone Wanderer are unique in offering actual damage reduction instead of a set amount of Damage Resistance. It offers an increasing amount of effective Damage Resistance depending on the player character's Damage Resistance.
