Atomic-Valence Tri-Radii-Oscillator

The Atomic-Valence Tri-Radii-Oscillator is a piece of headwear in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Old World Blues.

This item is a variant of the Valence Radii-Accentuator, differing from the original by having three orbiting halos (at a 60° angle to one another) instead of one. These halos are bright blue in color and orbit the wearer's head. The Oscillator has 33% more DT than the Valence Radii-Accentuator and restores 24 hit points every in-game hour. For comparison, the Valence Radii-Accentuator only restores 12 hit points per in-game hour. There are only two Atomic-Valence Tri-Radii-Oscillators in the game, making them semi-unique.

  • The Atomic-Valence Tri-Radii-Oscillator is considered a "hair" item and can be worn with some headgear such as berets, pre-War bonnets, Daniel's Hat Honest Hearts, and Space Suit Helmets.
    • Wearing it with any of these items will also show the Courier's hair, otherwise, the Atomic-Valence will render them bald.
  • Its regeneration effect stacks with the Monocyte Breeder. When used together, they regenerate 3 hit points in one set amount every 10 seconds, totaling 36 hit points per in-game hour (2 minutes).

Behind the scenes

The Atomic-Valence Tri-Radii-Oscillator has the same form as the Rutherford model of the atom devised by Ernest Rutherford.
