The Acid Soaker is a weapon in the Fallout 4 add-on Nuka World.

Background

The Acid Soaker was created by Fritsch at the Nuka-Cade. He added "more appropriate" items to the pre-War redemption system to appeal to the Nuka-World Raider gangs.[1][2]

Gameplay

The Acid Soaker is a small pistol that has been jury-rigged to fire acid concentrate from a small glass container. It sprays an acidic solution at targets, causing poison damage and reducing the Damage Resistance of the target.

It has an intake that dispenses liquid from a glass jar that is screwed into place. The solution visibly drains as the weapon is fired. The Acid Soaker cannot be modified at a weapons workbench. Its damage is only affected by the Bloody Mess perk.

Locations

Available at the Nuka-Cade from the prize terminal, for roughly 6250 Nuka-Cade tickets. As the prize terminal stock rotates, the weapon is only randomly available for purchase but it can be purchased several times once the stock rotates again.

Notes

  • The Acid junk item cannot directly be used as ammunition. It is a component required to craft the ammunition for the weapon at a Chemistry Station.
  • The weapon cannot be stored on a weapon rack.

Fritsch: "Well, some of the things in the redemption system are left over from the pre-war era. However, I've added a few more... let's just say 'more appropriate' items for the gangs to enjoy. You can win plenty of ammunition or even some special weapons and armor that I created myself. [...]"

  2. Sole Survivor: "Sure, why not? This place looks like fun."
Fritsch: "Yeah, it's pretty amazing, isn't it? All of the amusements and games around you are working thanks to yours truly. I'm the only one that can take them apart and put them back together again. If I go, then it's only a matter of time before they fall apart. And all the cute little prizes you can win... yeah, you can thank me for those too."
