Abandoned mine shaft 2 is a location in the Ash Heap region of Appalachia.
Background
The second in a series of abandoned mine shafts, this one was undergoing repair on the cover when the Great War happened. Years later, radiation continues to leak from the cover.
Layout
Entering from the west, the player character will first encounter a blue pod cluttered with containers and some loot. Proceeding through a door to the east and up a staircase leads to a second blue pod. This one has more containers, including two searchable chem containers, and additional loot. A southern door leads to the top of a refinery adjacent to both pods.
Loot
- Fusion core - On the catwalk outside the second pod.
- Potential armor plan - Right below the fusion core (Trapper/Marine armor plans can appear here).
- Potential power armor mod - Inside the second pod, on a metal shelf closest to the stairs on the lowest row.
