10mm Pistol (Fallout 3)

FO76 publicteam xpd.pngFor an overview of the topic, see 10mm Pistol.

The 10mm Pistol, also known as the N99 10mm Pistol or the N99 10mm sidearm, is a small gun in Fallout 3.[1][Pub 1]

Background

The N99 10mm Pistol served as a standard issue sidearm for the military following the phase out of the N80 in 2051.[1] It was known for its ability to withstand harsh conditions and could be restored into working condition even after being exposed to elements for extended periods.[1] It is described as being easy to repair by anyone with the most basic knowledge of firearm mechanics.[1] The weapon was mass produced and therefore many units are available for replacement parts.[1]

Publications

Aside from the BB Gun, the N99 10mm Pistol - is likely to be the first ranged weapon you can access. As with any ranged weapon, the more - damaged the weapon is, the more likely you are to jam, miss, and inflict less damage to a target. This is an excellent backup weapon, due to the abundance of ammunition and parts, and it is light enough to be collected and sold for Caps.Fallout 3 Official Game Guide

Gameplay

The 10mm Pistol uses 10mm ammunition and can be used to repair the Silenced 10mm Pistol and Colonel Autumn's 10mm Pistol.

Durability

The 10mm Pistol can fire a total of about 556 rounds, the equivalent of 47 reloads, from full condition before breaking.

Variants

  • Silenced 10mm Pistol - A suppressed version of this weapon. Although weaker, it does not give away its user's position when fired while sneaking.
  • Colonel Autumn's 10mm Pistol - Carried by Enclave Colonel Autumn, the colonel's 10mm Pistol is nearly twice as powerful as the regular version.
  • Butch's 10mm Pistol - A unique pistol used by Butch DeLoria when acting as a companion.
  • Sonora Cruz's 10mm Pistol - A unique pistol found on Sonora Cruz. It deals 100 damage, but Sonora always flees from enemies and never uses her pistol.
  • Operation: Anchorage (add-on) 10mm Pistol - A version with 999,150 hit points that is not accessible outside of the simulation.
  • Operation: Anchorage (add-on)Unused Content 10mm Alloy Steel Pistol - An unused version.
